Pokemon Gym Leader Challenge

Please join us the 2nd Tuesday and 4th Saturday of each month for our Gym Leader Challenge

We are a gaming cafe with fresh crepes, bubble tea, and snacks to fuel your journey. We also have a free board game library of 300+ different games that any patron can enjoy while visiting. With room for over 70 players, you'll rarely have trouble finding a seat!

All visiting Trainers receive:

*YO! Champ in the making! Gym Leader Challenge (GLC) offers trainers of all ages to compete in a dynamic game format featured in the Pokemon Alternate Handbook.

In this Expanded format (which includes cards printed since 2011’s Black White Series) Rule Box Pokemon and Ace Spec Cards are Banned!

You must harness the power of single-Prize Pokemon.

In addition to this restriction, a Trainer may only use one type of Pokemon, and all cards except basic energy are limit 1 per deck.

Finally, this format also features a Ban list, and none of the following cards may be included in a deck:

Pokemon Player IDs are required, if you do not have one a professor will be happy to assist you in getting one!

Deck lists are required and blank GLC friendly deck lists will be made available on site for the event or if contacted prior.

New Trainers that would like to enjoy this format that don't have their own deck may also use one of the stores Rental Decks. Rental Decks cost $3 to use for the duration of the event and links to deck lists and breakdowns may be found on the store websites event listing.

In addition, the winning trainer is entered into the Hall of Fame system!

A trainer gets a special stamp on their Challenge Card displayed at Capes and Crepes that corresponds to their Pokemon Type. 

The Trainer with the most stamps on their Challenge Card is entered into the Hall of Fame at the end of the Year!
